Reliable transport and a knowledgeable guide took us to main sites like Wat Phra Si Sanphet with its tall chedis and Wat Mahathat's famous tree-entwined Buddha head. Small group size (just 6 of us) meant better photo opps. Heat was tough in the afternoon, but umbrellas were available at each site to provide some much needed shade.”
