“This tour made our holiday! Mel was so informative, full of energy and had us laughing at every activity. We were really pleased to see how happy all the elephants were and the experience was well balanced between for seeing and interacting with the animals whilst respecting them at the same time. Would recommend to anyone who comes to Chiang Mai!”

Review of Chiang Mai’s Bua Tong Waterfall, elephant sanctuary, and bamboo rafting tour, with practical advice on value, fitness, timing, and ethics.

“We had a great time in the elephant sanctuary with preparing food for them and feeding them and then giving them bath in the river. Our guide Fluke was really knowledgeable and cheerful. We also had an exciting time at the sticky waterfall which was adventurous and must do activity. Then the bamboo boat ride was also good. Just one advice don’t buy beers for the captain of the boats which shopkeepers will insist you to do that. I think there are much better elephant sanctuaries out there so you can explore more options, I deducted 1 star just because of that.”

Review of Khao Lak bamboo rafting, sea turtle conservation, and Ton Pling Waterfall, with honest tips on value, weather, shoes, and timing.

“I had limited expectations for this excursion. We arrived at the bamboo rafting area and it was all very rushed. I was hoping that the guides would be pointing out wildlife or give us some information about anything, but it felt like our guide in particular was either a bit hungover or just didn't want to be there. Stopped the raft to take phone calls etc it was bizarre. The turtle sanctuary was decent. Learned some things on the tour from the guide. Waterfall was a bit of a waste of time to be honest. In summer when water levels are low. It seems pointless to take people there.”

“An amazing experience well worth doing as an unforgettable awesome memory. Transport by minibus was a bit hairy at times (fast driver with late breaking habit!) & not too comfy but otherwise great trip. Guides were amazing, very knowledgeable and passionate about the elephants, Pao & Rainbow are lovely and so friendly. You get so close & hands on with the elephants and interact loads. Making the pad tai was fun and it tasted delicious. The rafting experience was brilliant so much fun and great raftmen who really hype up the splashing and camaraderie with whooping and giggles. Overall a must do experience that i'll never forget”
