“It was good fun! Unfortunately a bit misty so didn’t get a view from the pavilions, but the national park and hike were very beautiful with scenic waterfalls. Very muddy and downhill, so make sure your shoes are sturdy and because of leeches it is a good idea to wear long trousers. Our guide did very well speaking in both English and Chinese, but was very hard to understand at times (I just about managed but some people’s first language wasn’t English).”

“The tour just visits 2 waterfalls as per the description & you see whatever wildlife pops up along the way. Don't expect to see elephants. We saw deer & monkeys. The first waterfall trek is quite strenuous. They're not joking when they say there're very steep steps! The path to the second is easier but you need to clamber over rocks to get closer. All the same both waterfalls are beautiful. Lunch is at a local place in the national park, not a tourist place so despite it not being included it's not too bad. We were very well hydrated. “The staff at this nature reserve really care about the elephants - they mention their personality quirks and give us a brief history about each elephant and how they were rescued. The guides are polite and patient, and you get to chop food and feed the elephants. The cause is great and they are held in very high regard so you will not get to ride or bathe with them. After you’re done with the tour, you can chill at their restaurant from which you can see the elephants in their natural environment. Overall, great place and happy to recommend.”
